M24 Chaffee

The M24 Chaffee was an American light tank from World War II. It was a successor of the M3/M5 Stuart. It was named after the United States Army General Adna Chaffee Jr. It was the first time tanks from the western allies utilized and undercarriage with torsion bars instead of one with the vertical volute suspension. Because of that, at the beginning it was mistaken for the German Panzer II. Therefore, there were some incidents when the allies shot to their own units. Between 1944 and 1945 around 4,700 M24 tanks were produced. In the game ‘World of Tanks’ it can be found at Tier V.

The block version includes a tank with rotating turret and a barrel with regulated angle shot, operable trap door and bonnet. In the set you can also find binoculars, pliers, canister, spade and a figure of a tank driver.
