The 1:35 scale fire truck model consists of 77 COBI construction blocks and very faithfully reproduces the characteristic shapes of the original Trabant 601. The iconic fire brigade version was designed in red and white colors! The car has rotating wheels with tires that are perfect for moving the model during play. We placed a blue block on the roof, which is the equivalent of a warning light of emergency vehicles. We have given up on stickers in our sets and they have been replaced with durable prints that do not wear off even during intense play. The block car is a product for both demanding collectors and young enthusiasts of classic cars, alike! Trabant is a brand of passenger cars produced in the GDR at the VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke plant in Zwickau. The 601 model debuted on the market in 1964 and was produced until 1990. Trabant cars feature several technically interesting solutions. These included a body made of a plastic material called Duroplast. It had a melting point similar to aluminum and increased the car's resistance to corrosion and crushing. Other noteworthy solutions include a small two-stroke engine, large windows and a relatively spacious interior. The car reached a dizzying speed, slightly exceeding 100 km/h. This particular car served as support for the fire brigade and was equipped with a blue warning lamp.

The Trabant deserves to be called a cult phenomena from the German Democratic Republic. To this day it remains a recognizable and extremely popular classic among motoring enthusiasts. It has also become an iconic part of popular culture.
