Description

On February 9, 1969, the most famous and one of the largest long-range jet passenger planes took to the air for the first time. The Boeing 747, also known as the "Jumbo Jet", was designed by the American company Boeing in the 1960s and entered commercial use in 1970. Its distinctive appearance, with the main passenger deck located on top of the hull, is its defining feature. The Boeing 747, as one of the largest passenger aircraft in the world, can accommodate over 600 passengers in a typical configuration. It was initially used mainly on intercontinental routes but is now in service with many airlines around the world. The last Boeing 747 was produced on December 6, 2022. Over 54 years, a total of 1,574 Jumbo Jets in various versions were produced and delivered.
